We have a special interest in small animal medicine and love the challenge of making the right diagnosis. There is nothing like an unnecessary visit - even if it is only to tell you, your pet is in excellent health. Any animal will always receive a full clinical examination and our recommendations will always take all the factors into consideration. Ultimately you can only make the right decision for yourself and your pet, if you have all the facts and advice at hand. sick and healthy

We have a brand new IM3 unit with which we can perform the best scaling and polishing for your pet. Extractions will be performed as required and only if indicated after probing and possible radiographs. We also perform full dental examinations and procedures on rabbits and love educating you about rabbits and how crucial nutrition if a healthy bunny mouth.

We perform full reproductive consultations for breeding females ranging from blood testing, vaginal smears and cytology, artificial insemminations, pregnancy diagnosis at 21-24 days and cesarean sections. Our team strives for safe and successful delivery for both mom and puppies. We perform semen collections and basic fertility analysis.

We have a full Idexx unit that can perform a full haematology and biochemistry examination as well as a complete urine analysis, to give accurate results within 15 minutes. An Olympus microscope, allows us to examine blood smears or any other smear (ears, growths etc) so that we can give you the best advice and treatment for your pet. Additional laboratory tests (FIV/FeLV, Parvo, Giardia, Corona, Ehrlichia) are also available - all to aid in accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

We recommend a full course of puppy (@6 + 9 + 12 wk) and kitten (@8 + 12wk) vaccinations and thereafter annual vaccinations. We perform a full clinical examination and weight check, with every vaccination and everything from deworming to diet to any possible findings during the examination, will be discussed with you. We do offer reduced prices for breeders and the vaccinations of litters.

Our heart is primary care and we do a huge amount of work for institutions like Odin and the SPCA. They serve because they care passionately and we would like to help them in that passionate cause. Our part ranges in anything from routine vaccinations and neutering to routine and emergency treatments.

We have a (Sonoscope E2 unit) Vinno 6 with colour Doppler. The range of probes, allows us to perform a complete thorough examination on anything from a 1kg Yorkie to a 75kg Boerboel abdomen. From November 2021 we will be able to perform basic diagnostic cardiac echocardiograms and have a consulting internal medicine specialist, who can perform complete cardiac ultrasound examinations as required.

We have the latest Metron direct digital xray unit with high quality images projected within 1 second. All consulting rooms are equipped with viewing software and the images will be discussed with you while you can view them. The images can be emailed to you and we use referral specialists for certification of spinal, elbow and hip radiographs with certified results usually within 24hours.

We have a full theater and perform most soft tissue, dental and orthopaedic surgeries that are required in small animal practice. We perform neuterings of all cats, dogs, rabbits, and exotics. General age recommendation is from 6 months of age, but this does not apply to all the breeds. Large and Giant breeds get done at a later stage (9-12 months) where rabbits are fully fertile from 3 months of age. Please phone us if there is any uncertainty and we will gladly advise you.
